A youth-led movement amplifying student voices through leadership, mentorship, and civic action. We don't wait for change — we create it.
RockStars4Impact is a youth-powered platform focused on amplifying the voices and leadership of the next generation. Founded by and for students, we champion social justice, education equity, and community-driven innovation.
Our flagship initiative, 5 Minute Mentors, connects youth with professionals through short, powerful video interviews that inspire, inform, and ignite dreams.
Get Involved →We create platforms where young people are heard, respected, and taken seriously.
From civic engagement to education equity, we tackle the issues that matter most to youth.
Students don't just study problems — they build solutions through real projects and research.
Real professionals. Real stories. Five minutes that can change a student's trajectory.
From voter registration drives to community gardens, our students don't wait to be invited to the table — they build their own.
This is the story of a DC high school student who went to a summit, was asked to name the problem worth solving, and did not stop there.
Isabella Getahun launched 5 Minute Mentors — connecting young people with professionals for short, structured conversations about purpose and leadership. The Washington Area Women's Foundation named her a 2021 Rock Star Awardee. She took the name seriously enough to build an organization around it: RockStars4Impact.
Selected as one of two Youth Delegates to the Aspen Institute's Center for Rising Generations Summit. Her program, Rewrite the Classics, earned a Finalist distinction out of 60+ submissions.
An AI Ethics course at Georgetown University made something clear: the question of whose story gets told lives inside every AI system ever built. Rewrite the Classics became Civics Remix.
The first Civics Remix curriculum launches — 7 illustrated chapters, an AI Bias Detector, Socratic discussion prompts. Available at novel.civicsremix.org.
The Hershey Heartwarming Young Heroes Grant funds the pilot program. By Summer 2026, 100+ young people will have experienced Civics Remix. The room keeps getting bigger.
Founder, Civics Remix & RockStars4Impact
Isabella Getahun is a DC resident, a high school junior, and a self-professed student of the humanities who understood something about AI that most technologists missed: the problem was never the technology. It was the story the technology inherited.
She did not approach AI ethics as a builder. She approached it as a reader, and what she read in every AI system was the same question literature has always asked: whose story gets told, whose gets erased, and who holds the power to define what is true.
She is the founder of both Civics Remix and RockStars4Impact. She is still in high school. She is still asking the same question. She does not plan to stop.
Our signature project brings real-world advice and stories from successful leaders directly to students. Each mentor shares their journey in five minutes or less — because sometimes that's all it takes to spark a breakthrough.
Leaders from every industry. Every background. Every path. Proving to students that there are many roads to success — and one of them has your name on it.
